Bockenplautz TV Debut!

We have had a quite productive last month despite the fact that we haven't played any public gigs. In September we played for two private events, both of which were a ton of fun for us. We're always willing to negotiate to play for friends events - just let us know!

Today, we hit the big time. We played live on WTMJ4's The Morning Blend in support of the upcoming 2nd Annual Doc Rock MKE benefit concert this friday, November 2nd 2012. We had a blast, were occasionally filmed much-too-closeup for our taste, and overall successfully helped to promote this great event. We'll upload the vids to our YouTube page, but for now you can find the first segment HERE and the second segment HERE.

Come to the show on the 2nd, and be sure to check out our shows page for two other big performances in November including a triumphant return to the Best Place Tavern at the Historic Pabst Brewery on November 16th and our first ever performance at Club Garibaldi's in Bay View on Nov 30th, where we'll record a demo CD!

Rockin' the 'Sha Part Deux - IN THE BOOKS

Thanks to the good people at Montecito's Ristorante in Waukesha for showing us such a good time last Friday night. Dale and his wife Jen treat us great, serve us fish fry and all of the free drinks we can handle, and generally provide an amazingly appropriate venue for us to deliver our Bockenplautz Brand Acoustic Powerpop hot and fresh.

We express our sincere sympathy to all of the bar patrons who had their faces melted by the Superior Acoustic Powerpop Onslaught that was delivered. We provide no apologies, just sympathy.

Looking forward to booking there again sometime this winter - look for it! 

Rest of the month is filled with private gigs. Playing for a neighborhood party, and also for a charity event.

Next public gig - Doc Rock MKE benefit on 11/2, followed closely by our triumphant return to the Best Place Tavern on 11/16. Will be featuring new posters, new T-shirts, new songs, perhaps even a prolonged opportunity to fight with Cousin Sean after the show! Stay tuned.

St. Francis balcony party complete

Christopher and Jonnie played for a vibrant crowd at a private party in St. Francis, WI last night, playing for guests on a beautiful balcony overlooking Lake Michigan. Strings were broken, beers were consumed, and fun was had by all. We're always available to play private events, so hit us up at bockenplautz@gmail.com if you want to discuss booking.

Next gig at Montecito's in Waukesha: Rockin' the Sha, Part Deux! August 29. We'll be going on at 9pm immediately after the Freeman Friday concert ends on the stage outside the bar. Opening up the front garage door and playing right out onto the street - should be a blast.

Next Gig - the SIZZLAH!

Fans, we are so stoked to be playing the Best Place again this June 29th. Hope that many of you can make it. 8pm start time, will likely play to close to midnight, 40+ tunes of finely crafted acoustic powerpop served up HOT AND SPICY! Featuring at least 5-6 new tunes and several old ones we haven't played for at least a year or so.

Montecito's gig: Destroyed

BnP'ers-

We played for a festival crowd last Saturday night, May 19, 2012, at the awesome Montecito Ristorante & Lounge in the 'Sha last weekend, and it was a ton of fun. We had at least 40 of our good friends stop by, in addition to dozens of authentic Waukeshans who stumbled in through the open front facade of Montecito's. Dale and Jen, the owners, treated us like royalty, and the bar staff led by Jess were amazing. We're stoked to return later this summer, hopefully for a Freeman Friday night so we can play out through the open facade after the street shows end. 

Next gig is at the awesome and totally playable Best Place Tavern at the Historic Pabst Brewery on June 29th at 8pm - see the gigs page for more info.
